Inspiration
It is easy to believe that the visible is the greatest reality. It is easy to chase after the visible in hopes of creating some sense of permanence and protection. It is easy to see the visible but the visible is not the path to permanence or protection.
The path we must follow is spiritual. We were designed to live from the inside/out and not from the outside/in. What we need most is not visible. What we need most is inspiration.
The word inspiration comes from the idea of “in spirit.” What we need to live well only comes from being continuously inspired. Christ in us is the hope of this glorious inner inspiration.
Most of us spend our time measuring the external to determine our permanence and our protection. What we should be measuring is the quality of our inspiration. Inspiration controls our reality.
As humans we love inspiring stories. We love to see people overcome the visible obstacles that stop the rest of us. We love these stories because we know that inspiration is the key to all true human progress.
Christ in you is inspiration enough for you to write your own inspiring story. When you live a life inspired by Jesus moment by moment you glorify God.
South Florida once had a string of hurricanes that left everyone praying for calm weather. Certainly praying for fewer hurricanes is a good prayer. Even so, the best prayer is not for smaller storms or no storms at all. The best prayer is for more inspired people who can face the storms of life and inspire others to do the same. Pray for bigger people, not smaller storms.
Don’t expect God to make this world an easy place. Expect Him to inspire you to overcome the world just like Jesus did and is still doing in you.
Live a Jesus inspired day today!
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16: 33
