Will Love Come?

The presence or absence of certain people in our lives can completely alter how we face a difficult situation. When someone we hope will come shows up, there is relief and joy. When someone shows up we would rather not see, there is concern and disappointment.

All of us have experienced the disappointment of someone's absence when we sorely needed their love and support. Anyone who has grieved the loss of a loved one knows how hard it is to adjust the fact that they will not be coming with love as they once did.

The presence of someone we would rather not see coming can be equally as powerful but in a negative way. When someone who does not wish us well comes, their presence can take the wind out of our sails pretty fast. Their presence makes a difficult situation even worse.

When love arrives in human form we rest and we rejoice. Our spirits lift simply because love has come to us.

This is why the angels sang when Jesus was born. Love was arriving in human form and they knew that He would be love arriving among men from then on.

Learning to live in the perfect presence of Jesus moment by moment will make the human soul rest, rejoice and love. Love from God through Christ is constantly arriving in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. To have faith is to believe that love has come and will always come.

Jesus is in us and He is constantly arriving with love for every difficult situation we face. No matter what the situation we face may be, love is arriving right as we face it.

The question is not "Will this be easy?" The question is "Will love arrive in time?" He has. He will. Rest and rejoice! Love came to stay on earth in you so you, too, can be love arriving in the lives of those who need to see love coming.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:1-5
