6. God is calling individuals and churches to live the life of Jesus. This is more than imitating the life of Jesus. It is living the life that comes constantly from the Vine. Only in so living can we live the life Jesus described in the Sermon on the Mount and in all of His teachings.

7. Every branch in the Vine should seek the full perfection of Jesus’ life flowing into theirs so that our great God, the Vinedresser, may freely distribute the fruit of that life to the world.

8. There exist spiritual habits or disciplines that allow us to receive all the satisfaction the Vine is willing to give. Every believer and every church must pursue these disciplines to find satisfaction and bear much fruit.
